A castle add castle go. We did not visit the interior. Nice open garden. The architecture of the castle itself is not very special.

The house looks quite impressive from the outside and its location is attractive. The gardens are pleasant but not spectacular. There are no benches to sit on in the gardens and no refreshments available. Our "guided tour" of the interior of the house was very disappointing. We were the only visitors there and there were several members of staff present on the site, but our "guide" was a young boy (about 14) who spoke no english and who gave virtually no information in french. His only function was to open and close the doors. Only 5 or 6 rooms were shown and the whole tour took less than 15 minutes. There was no written information provided in any language, so we learnt nothing about the history of the chateau. The entry price of 10 euros per person for house and gardens was far too high for what we experienced.

Very pretty castle with a fairly fun and very interesting visit. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully maintained gardens. I regret that, saying 2 little things. The little bees by the millions in the garden (in the paths on the ground) which literally scared me and I therefore did not dare to go further in order to complete the route and also the visit to the castle which is a little short . In the end, we didn't invest much in the place. But I give 5 stars for everything else which turns out to be magnificent.

The castle does not have much exceptional, the parts to visit are quite small, the display seems temporary, a smell of burning is present in certain spaces, it is quite dark. The time to spend there is very limited. On the other hand, the gardens save the day! The French garden is well maintained, but lacks height. A curiosity is present with troglodyte bees, 🐝 they will not do you any harm. A first, it’s quite funny! The English garden is successful, a real change of scenery, the stroll there is pleasant, as is the walk in the woods. The gardens surrounding the castle are on a human scale! The explanatory booklet is well illustrated and informed, particularly for plant species. It is very appreciable to see that the document is not disposable like a piece of paper that you quickly forget in the back of your cupboard, on the other hand, the view holder does not look very professional. I find that the castle lacks digital media, with QR codes, for the booklet, live cash or even the rooms of the castle. The panels present in the first room of the castle are qualitative. In conclusion: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The castle: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The garden: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A well-maintained castle with a pleasant tour route, even if it is more reserved for adults. A somewhat expensive price, surely in relation to maintenance costs, but acceptable for the survival of our heritage.

Kergrist Castle is a fortified manor from the 15th century, classified as a historic monument. The entrance ticket entitles you to a visit to the castle and the park. The castle is particularly well furnished, decorated and preserved. The collections presented are varied and superbly presented. In the park of several hectares, several types of gardens coexist, French, English or even rural. An explanatory leaflet is given at reception. An audio guide on smartphone completes the visit to this superb castle. Worth seeing if you are in the area.
